Howdy! You landed on the Front Porch of FLATPICKIN.COM! Well, if you're the sort who gets excited anytime you hear a big ol' dread getting wailed on with a pick, then you'll probably enjoy your stay here. We'll be needing a mandolin, banjo, bass and maybe even a Dobro and fiddle player too so if you play any of those instruments hang around. Us guitar pickers can't make the best music in the world without ya! We'll be talkin' about guitars and flatpickin' here mostly but if you other players want to jump in and contribute, feel free. If you're not a flatpicker but are interested in finding out more about this exciting style then you've found the right place to start your journey.

We only have one rule - be nice to one another! We don't like cussin' or name-callin' here!

Say hello to FLATPICKIN.COM - a place where we can talk about flatpicking, crosspicking, G-runs and dreadnought guitars! Although this site is all about bluegrass and flatpickin, we invite all musicians to join us in conversation - no matter what your instrument or level of skill. After all, flatpickin' is WAY more fun when there's a banjo, mando, bass, fiddle and dobro in the mix! I've even heard bluegrass harmonica and it was great! Hopefully we'll all gain something from this place.
